When I moved to New York in 2013 I started painting abstract cityscapes of Manhattan in oils. I went home for Christmas in 2014 and visited The National Gallery to see the ink illustration of Trafalgar Square that I’d created for King & McGaw.  These were selling as small prints within the gallery's shop. When I went back to NYC I decided to paint this scene to celebrate my visit.
