Biography

Anna-Louise graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2003 having received first class honours from Central Saint Martins. Regarded as a ‘reportage’ artist due to her initial sketches being painted on location, these dynamic studies are used as reference material and scaled up into large oil on canvas paintings back in her studio.

From 2009-2011 Anna-Louise had an art gallery in Cornwall before moving to New York City in 2013. In the US she began working on a much larger scale producing abstract cityscapes in oils before moving back to the UK in 2015.

Back in London, she continued her cityscape paintings alongside her automotive paintings.

Known internationally for painting historic and modern racing cars, she travels the world attending and exhibiting at events such as Salon Privé, Pebble Beach, Monaco, Goodwood, and Villa d’Este.  Her large performance pieces are auctioned for charity or sold privately. These scenes depict the races live in action in her unique and whimsical style.

A collection of her car paintings were first exhibited at the Le Mans Museum in 2012. She has since exhibited at the Royal Automobile Club and Sotheby’s, most recently at Grimaldi Forum during the Monaco Grand Prix Historique 2024 and again at the F1 two weeks later. This August, she exhibited her work at The Embassy Suites in Monterey at Automobilia Collectors Expo.

In 2024 Saudi Motorsport commissioned her to design their poster for the Formula 1 STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah where she exhibited her work and created a 2.5 x 3-meter canvas during the race. Additionally this year, she created the poster for the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, commissioned by The Royal Automobile Club and the poster for ‘Automobillia Collectors Expo’ in Monterey.

Alongside her automotive paintings, Anna-Louise paints scenes of beautiful locations including Lake Como and Corfu and is often privately commissioned by her clients to paint their properties, yachts and car collections.

Anna-Louise is based at Delta House Studios in London.
