Biography

Anna-Louise graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2003 having received first class honours from Central Saint Martins. Regarded as a reportage artist, her work is generally painted on location in ink on paper.  These studies are then used as reference material for larger oil paintings.

From 2009-2011 Anna-Louise had an art gallery in Port Isaac (North Cornwall) where she exclusively showed her own work documenting village life, local architecture and scenes from the bay. Moving to New York City in 2013, she worked on a much larger scale producing abstract cityscapes in oils. It was during this time that she began making screen prints of Manhattan at The Art Student's League of New York before returning to the UK in 2015.

Anna-Louise has always been interested in depicting a variety of subjects. In 2005 she was commissioned by the Ministry of Defence to paint their aircraft carriers, harrier jump jets and helicopters. These images were used in sponsored exhibitions and as part of the Royal Navy's recruitment campaign.

Her passion for mechanical objects led to a trip to Monaco during the Grand Prix Historique in 2008 where she painted her first ever race car and she's never looked back.  Since then, her work has been featured in numerous motoring magazines.  Internationally known for painting historic and modern racing cars, she continues to travel the world attending race and concours events such as Pebble Beach, Monaco Grand Prix Historique, Amelia Island, Villa d'Este and Le Mans.  A collection of her car paintings were first exhibited at the Le Mans Museum in 2012 and then in a solo show at the Royal Automobile Club in 2017.  In 2022 she had her first official exhibition stand at Salon Privé, exhibiting her Monaco scenes at Chelsea & Blenheim Palace.

Anna-Louise is now based in London at Delta House Studios where she continues to paint abstract cityscapes and historic cars.
