Open Edition - Monaco Classic Week

This lively watercolour painting captures the dazzling energy of Monaco Harbour during Monaco Classic Week. I was invited to paint this scene from the terrace of the Monaco Yacht Club having being seen painting the stunning J-Class Shamrock V the previous day.

At the heart of the composition lies Bluebird, Tara Getty’s graceful classic yacht, its deep blue hull contrasting beautifully with the sunlit water. Just beyond, Allegra Gucci’s magnificent three-masted schooner Creole adds a sweep of vintage romance, her tall masts soaring into the bright Mediterranean sky. In the background, the sleek silhouette of Lionheart, one of Monaco’s most impressive superyachts, anchors the scene in contemporary luxury. The harbour teems with life; tenders, sailing boats, and splashes of colour, all set against the pastel cliffs and terraced buildings that tumble toward the sea, evoking the festive spirit and glamour that define this iconic Riviera gathering.
